Technology
Mass data capture methods are now commonplace for quickly obtaining the digital twin of the construction site, using surveying scanners, LiDAR sensors and photogrammetric applications that process images taken with drones.
APLITOP has wide experience in exploiting point clouds for surveying projects. Our software Tcp PointCloud Editor lets you visualise and edit points imported from the most common market formats, as well as generate digital elevation models, obtain profiles, take measurements and produce or publish high-quality results.
For tunnel projects, TcpTunnel Scan allows you to scan and analyse the current state in real-time on site. Back in the office, TcpScancyr computes profiles from the point cloud and lets you visualise under and over-excavation areas, generate reports, inspection maps, virtual walkthroughs and more.
Research and Development
At APLITOP we are aware that point clouds are becoming increasingly important, and new tools are needed to automatically filter and interpret large volumes of information.
For this reason we have taken part in several research projects, which have allowed us to develop our own technology for point cloud management. We continue working to deliver the latest advances to our users through the application of Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning and other advanced techniques.
Projects
PANDORA Project
The PANDORA project has developed new technological enabling solutions for multiple applications across the life cycle of various use cases in infrastructure projects.
It is based on the use of LiDAR technology and high-resolution 360° cameras in environments without GNSS coverage, such as tunnels, integrable with UAVs and UGVs.
