Each of the elements described in the previous sections and in the IFC file can be assigned a series of properties. These properties can be classified into the following types:
·Entity: These are properties common to any IFC entity (its ID in the IFC file, the type of IFC entity ...).
·Properties: These are intrinsic properties of the entity being inspected. They will vary in accordance with each type of entity.
·Classifications: Describes the classification this specific entity has in the IFC file (if it has one).
·Property Sets (PSets): Properties that describe a qualification of the entity with which they are associated, for example, the Road Regulation, Speed of the Road ...
·Quantity Sets (QSets): Properties that associate a property that can be quantified to the entity with which it is associated; this is the case, for example, of the Surface of a topographic element, the Length of the Alignment…
This information is displayed in the “IFC Inspector”. There are different sections you can expand or hide.
