Path Mode

This mode allows you to examine the terrain manually (this mode is accessed through the Terrain Route DTM command), moving with the use of keys or the mouse, you are shown at all times the X, Y, Z coordinates of the position you are in. If you left click on your mouse, an automatic path is initiated in the direction in which the mouse is pointing, and the travel speed can be changed by pressing the Q key to increase it and the Z key to reduce it, which will stop when you left click again and in the direction in which the mouse is pointing. To move through the terrain, use the following keys:
W, to move forward, in the direction the mouse is pointing
A, to move to the left
D, to move to the right
S, to move backwards
Just like in road mode, when you press F6, it shows the same dialogue box, so you can change the mode or add effects to the scene, change the height at which we see the terrain (we can also vary it dynamically using the mouse wheel). From this mode you can also insert random 3D objects by pressing the F2 key.
The relationship between the viewer operating modes and the corresponding DTM commands is as follows:
When you execute the Terrain Route command, it shows you the viewer directly in Path mode, it allows you to enter the Terrain mode by pressing F6, but you will not be able to access the Road mode, because there is no defined route.
When you execute the Road Route command, it shows you the viewer directly in Road mode, where you can start your route, and it allows you to change to any of the other two modes.
In any of the above cases, if objects have been previously defined in the field by means of DTM commands, Insert 3D Objects or Insert Linear 3D Objects, these 3D objects will appear in the viewer, in the position with the scale and rotation that has been defined in those previous commands.
