Alignment and Cross Sections

This command creates a point for each of the profile’s vertices from a horizontal alignment defined graphically or from a file and a cross-sections file. The X and Y coordinates are calculated by projecting the distance of the profile’s vertex with regard to the horizontal alignment, while height is equivalent to the profile’s height. Each point’s code will be the code of each vertex should they be defined.
The dialogue box enables us to conduct this operation with a subset of the profiles, specifying the Initial Station and the Final Station, selecting the Level to which the points will belong, and controlling whether or not they will be drawn with the Draw Points box.
Assigning Codes to Points: Checking this box will assign each point the vertex code of the cross-section in which it was generated.
Drawing points: Checking this box will draw a 3D polyline representing each of the sections of the cross section.
Drawing boundary: Checking this box will draw a contour line around all the new points, using the ends of each cut of the cross-sections as a reference.
