This is a value added to the slope, allowing the optical effects of sphericity and refraction on the observations to be corrected. The following formula is applied:

Ds = Original slope
K = Refraction coefficient. 0.42 by default
Rt = Earth’s radius in meters. 6370000 by default
The refraction coefficient and the Earth’s radius can be modified in the configuration.
