The georeference will be affected by all the operations involving any kind of rotation; in these cases, it will change the terms dependent on rotation and the scale on X and Y. The original image will not be affected and hence only the name and destination directory will be requested where the new georeference will be saved.
The left upper point of the image will be assumed as the point of reference for rotation.
